FC S takes a leading role in Zoetermeer's history, because it's the first non-profit football club in Zoetermeer.

History

Beginning

➡ See History of FC A-S to read the main article about the history of FC S.

FC A-S is a football club with a recent history. On June 22, 2012, the club was founded while Aart and Sander were playing football. The first kit, primarily white coloured, was designed the same year. Since then the club doesn't have a strict dress code. In the first few years FC S played on the Hannieschaft square and on Real Zoetermeer's football field. Real Zoetermeer's bankruptcy demanded FC S to move to a new football field. They moved to the artificial grass of S.V. Oosterheem. Since then the club hasn't moved to a new location. Meanwhile, the use of the square drastically declined. A field, not too far away, replaced it. That field is now also known als 't Hondenveld.

New approach

The current management decided in 2018 to administrate and publicate all goals and assists of all matches on this website. They also created a group chat that made debates between players and management possible. In this year the first emblem was changed to a more modern emblem, of which the design was partly inspired by the Freeletics emblem.

General information

Budget

How does FC S use its budget?

In modern day football money's getting more and more important. The management of FC S knows this too and produces annually a substantional profit. But how exactly does FC S use this money?

FC S earns its money via the following ways:

  • Broadcast money
  • Juvenile contribution
  • Single ticket purchases
  • Season tickets

These incomes are very important to the club, because of the fact that FC S likes to invest in its youth. If we take a look at the team, we see more than fifty percent of the players were trained at this club.

This is something we as FC S can be really proud about, but we want to keep it this way, of course.

From the moment a juvenile joins the club, he is being helped in all possible ways.

This is mental and physical, to really improve.

Ticket sale

FC S does sell single tickets, and for away matches the 'local triangle' discusses how to deliver the away supporters a pleasant game. The club earn a lot from this and will also use this money to maintain the stadium and the fields. The away section in stadium 't Hondenveld is no profitable factor for FC S. No profit is being made by this, only for the away club.

Season tickets

FC S is greatly dependent of its loyal supporters with season tickets. The club starts 4 months before the beginning of the new season with the sale.

* Prices may change during a season

* Prices are based on the Buytenwegh League

TV-rights

All Buytenwegh League games are broadcasted on A-S TV. This is a source of income to FC S. This is very important because it generates the most money.

Merchandise-sales

This source of income isn't present at FC S. This because FC S doesn't invest in merchandise yet because it's too expensive.

Rivalry

FC S has more than one rival, but Strontwijk '92 and S.V. Oosterheem are the main ones. Other rivals are Young FC S, DWO and FC Van De Buurt. However, most games are played against Young FC S, sometimes against FC Van De Buurt and rarely against DWO. FC A-S hasn't played an official match against SV Oosterheem and Strontwijk '92 yet.
